The Probability Of Everything by Sarah Everett
How would you feel if you were enjoying a family dinner, oblivious to any danger, and suddenly find out that life as you know it on earth is going to be lost and forgotten? This is what Kemi from The Probability Of Everything by Sarah Everett has to deal with. With a 87% chance of a meteor, Amplus, going to end all life on earth, Kemi has to figure out a way her family can be remembered. She doesn’t want humans and the things they did to be lost in history. Since she is pulled from school, she has a little more time to think of ways to be remembered. She decides on a shadow box, inspired by her little cousin’s Miscellaneous box (Or Miss Celina’s Box, as she calls it), with important things from each family member, to be remembered with. She is able to find things from everyone, except her dad, who still has yet to find his passion and item to be remembered with. Only problem is, Amplus is affecting more than just her family, and more than just spreading sadness. When the time comes, and Amplus strikes earth, Kemi will have to say goodbye to everyone and everything she loves. Can she finish the shadow box in time? Can she make humans be remembered, and make a difference in the world? Read The Probability Of Everything by Sarah Everett to find out!
